Registering Your Brand New Muscle Car Is Fairly Simple...
Brand New Muscle Car resto-builds vehicles from both original and new replacement bodies depending on customer specifications. We can provide all-metal, all-new replacement bodies with original VINs and title paperwork if desired or required. Each replacement body or kit car comes with a Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (MCO) and a serial number for registration. Replacment Bodies are officially licensed by Ford, GM or Chrysler. We resto-build vehicles to suit. Each vehicle that we resto-build is constructed with customer funds paid in advance. Every vehicle we resto-build is owned by the customer before, during and after our restoration-build process. Therefore we do not register or title resto-built vehicles and then sell or resale them. We do not own the vehicles that we resto-build. Brand New Muscle Car does not buy or sell vehicles. We are not a car dealer or automobile manufacturer. We strictly resto-build custom vehicles for customers with their funds and parts per their specific instructions. Following the "build" we deliver a partial or complete vehicle to the customer so they can register and title it with local authorities at some later date. We always recommend that customers double check your local city, state and national rules and regulations for registering and importing (if outside the USA) an original body, custom "built" vehicle or kit car prior to finalizing your resto-build project specifications with us.
What about the VIN?
A Vehicle or Vessel Identification Number (VIN) is issued by a manufacturer or State Licensing authority. There are three ways for a vehicle to obtain a number:
1. An existing VIN on a vehicle that is titled in your name can be transferred to a repair part / replacement body (as instructed by your State authority). We can provided all-metal, all-new replacement bodies with original VINs and title paperwork if desired or required. This is optional depending on customer specifications and requirements.
2. A number may be issued by your State or local authority to ID a "custom built vehicle" when it passes a safety and number verification inspection. This is optional depending on customer specifications and requirements.
3. A licensed manufacturer will issue a VIN when the vehicle (or vessel) is made and ready for delivery. This can only be issued when a "turn key" (completed) car, truck, boat or aircraft has been manufactured. We do not sell "turn key" vehicles.
Customers are responsible for any and all taxes and fees, including import and export if outside the USA, related to the restoration, transportation and registration of their Brand New Muscle Car. Brand New Muscle Car will provide all neccessary documentation for vehicle body and parts upon completion. Please contact us with any questions or special requests related to vehicle registration.
